    Maid of Honor

    My little sister and best friend, I couldn’t imagine anyone else as Maid of Honor. Leslie makes sure we don’t take ourselves too seriously and is always willing to contribute wedding ideas (sample: a hamster as favor for every guest). She aided and abetted in Skylar’s proposal plan and has been amazing through the planning process.

    A good friend since middle school and an even better one afterward, Emily and I have always had plenty in common and plenty of excitement together – we’ve gone from high school chorus class to Caribbean cruises and wine tasting in Napa. She’s someone I can always count on, whether it’s organizing trips for all of us or putting aside her dislike of uneven bridal parties to be my bridesmaid. Even if her college football team usually beats mine, she’s one of the easiest people I know to talk to and always willing to share a bottle of wine.

    Also a middle school friend, Erin and I bonded in 7th grade reading class and have been laughing together ever since. We have the same sense of humor and her stupid jokes always make me laugh even if I’m rolling my eyes. Erin is one of the most fun people I know to hang out with and will probably make more than one “Friends” reference at my wedding while simultaneously heckling the DJ.

    Madeleine and I got to know each other sharing a bus seat and orchestra music stand in fourth grade, and have been on many adventures in the 20 (!!!) years since then. My well-read travel buddy, fellow Anglophile, and Sweet Sixteen dancing partner, her Hermione-level organization and planning will ensure there are no hitches in getting hitched, while at the same time being sneakily sweet and subtly silly.

    Although we also met in high school, Samantha and I have gotten closer as the years have gone past. We have driven together across 2/3 of the US, worked for the same company, and even got engaged the same weekend. I’m thrilled to be her bridesmaid just as I’m thrilled she’s one of mine, and we always have plenty of wedding details to discuss over sushi and sangria. Sam is someone I can reach out to whenever I need to chat or just need a good old-fashioned chick-flick.

    The high school gym was where Morgan and I truly got to know each other as we suffered every winter through intense fencing practices and early morning bus rides to tournaments. Morgan was and still is one of the most driven and focused people I know, and has always impressed me from senior year sabre squad right up through raising a ridiculously cute kid and being a real adult. While we don’t get to see each other as much as we might like, Morgan is one of those true friends who I can talk to like no time has passed and nothing has changed.
